Ever had an injury of a muscle, ligament, tendon or nerve?
When I think of my past injuries, the first memory which comes to mind, is one associated with pain.
- limitation of motion
- numbness or increased sensitivity
Being an athlete, I have grown accustomed to nagging aches and pains. Sprained ankles were a common occurrence as well as jammed fingers, with the occasional fracture. About a decade ago, a calf and eventual hamstring tear finally retired my basketball playing. Truthfully, it was not only the pain, but it was also the delayed healing time which made me decide to engage in other athletic activities.
