What are wrinkles?
When you look in the mirror, what do you see? …I noticed first that my skin had changed. The coloring seemed very different and the texture had changed. Searching for solutions, I learned that with age, skin does not renew as quickly and it is thinner. Like elastic, as skin ages it loses the ability to regain it’s original position. The older we get, our skin loses moistness, is dryer and may heal slower.
Why Large Pores?
Our pores get larger as we age and are somewhat a result of genetics. If skin is not properly cleansed, dirt and bacteria will cause blackheads to accumulate and the pores will enlarge. Sun damage may also cause pore size to increase.
What is an uneven tone?
Coloring in our skin and hair come from a pigment called melanin. Melanin helps protect skin from damaging light and it absorbs heat from the sun. When the body is presented with too much sun or the hormonal balance is out of sync, we get uneven tone and skin discoloration.
Why do I get blemishes?
Blemishes are generally caused by acne breakouts, but can also be attributed to factors like hormonal imbalance, genetics, improper skin care, poor diet, sun exposure, aging and clogged pores.
Microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and IPL all work well in the reduction of such problems and all are offered to our clientele at SPX.
